Growing up my sister had the American Girl Doll Addy. I was never into dolls too much but I was fascinated by the texture of her hair. Not many dolls back then had hair like ours and it’s something I appreciate till this day. My sister still has Addy :)

Addy has an incredible story! That's sweet that your sister still has her. There has been a serious lack of textured haired dolls and we're finally getting more in the last few years. Its incredible to see dolls with a proper crown.

I agree! As a little girl I really did appreciate it more than I think doll creators knew or realized at the time but I’d always find myself touching her hair in awe. I’m glad my sister still has them. She also has Kaya and I never realized how beautiful her full name was!

When I was a kid I was always looking for dolls with textured but was unsure why I couldn't find them, it was frustrating because I only knew how to do textured hair. Its definitely fortunate because a lot of things get lost in the sands of time. There's so much I could say about Kaya lol
